When to run it
- You need to inbound against pressure.
- The clock is short and you want a catch near half court.
- You want your inbounder to become a shooter.
Coaching points
- The first option is a safe catch. If it is not open, the second action starts at once.
- The screener sets for the inbounder, not for the ball.
- The inbounder runs off the screen with his shoulder to the screener.
Counters
- Defense: Deny the safe catch
- Answer: Skip to the second action and throw it deep.
- Defense: Switch the screen
- Answer: The big rolls to the rim.
