When to run it
- You have the ball out of a timeout with a few seconds to play.
- The defense plays you tight on the ball.
- You have an inbounder who can throw a lob.
Coaching points
- The stack holds until the call. No one peeks.
- The lob is thrown on the cutter's second step toward the rim.
- If the lob is gone, the screener pops to the slot and the inbounder reads him.
Counters
- Defense: Switch everything
- Answer: The screener pops and the cutter's man is now on a big.
- Defense: Front the cutter
- Answer: Throw the lob over the front.
