When to run it
- You need two points on a baseline inbounds.
- The defense is in man-to-man and likes to switch.
- Your best finisher is also a willing screener.
Coaching points
- The inbounder has five seconds. Practice the count out loud.
- The screen is set before the cutter moves.
- The inbounder steps in after the pass. The dump-off is the second read.
Counters
- Defense: Switch the cross screen
- Answer: Seal the smaller defender and enter the pass high.
- Defense: Zone the box
- Answer: Use the top player as a safety and throw to the corner.
