When to run it
- The other team full-court presses after made baskets.
- You have a calm ball handler and a big who can pass.
- You are behind and need a quick score.
Coaching points
- The inbounder picks the receiver before the ref hands over the ball.
- The middle catch happens before the trap closes. After that it is a bad pass.
- The streaking player stays wide and runs.
Counters
- Defense: Trap the first pass
- Answer: The inbounder steps in for the return pass.
- Defense: Deny the middle
- Answer: Throw it to the side and flash the middle again.
